Assalamualaikum..

to begin with,i would like to make an apology to MR AIN coz my late respond on his Tagged..
'sorry khairil...i ikut mood and think wether my post will turn out to be informative or not..(grin)=)'
moreover,absence of proper health make me go slow with new post..still in recovery phase..
(oh ALLAH,kurniakanlh kekuatan dan jdkanlan diriku org yg berlapang dada dgn ketentuanMU..)
furthermore..lots of REAL assingment in my waiting list to be completed..

the title should be 'Di sebalik nama'

bila dpt Tag ni terus teringat pesan AYAH & MAK..."STAND as YOUR NAME should be"
masih terngiang2 pesanan ni..acually ayah and mak pesan kat kak long time tu..saya mendengar je..but it really kesan di hati..

di sebalik nasihat tu juga,what mom and dad want to convey to us is that the name given to us by them has a meaning instead of alphabets arranged to make it sound like a name..i said this because some of us(my siblings) have unfamiliar name...

lets first we go through the list of names of my family members..

• ayah-azhari-flower
• mom-norulhuda-cahaya petunjuk
• kak long-nurul iman-cahaya keimanan
• abg ngah-abdul rahman-hamba kpd yg MAHA PEMURAH
• kakcik-Khadijah-nama isteri Rasulullah SAW
• kak teh-???
• kakak-naheed-(naheed,akak lupe..update with u later kay..maaf!!)
• abg-abdullah zahid-hamba ALLAH yg zuhud
• im-abdul rahim-hamba kpd yg MAHA PENYAYANG
• nab-Zainab-nama anak dan isteri Rasulullah SAW
• qayya-ruqayya-nama anak Rasulullah SAW
• acha-hafsa-nama isteri Rasulullah SAW
• adik-safiya-nama isteri Rasulullah SAW

lets start with my name..
Naufa-derived from arabic word which the root word is Nouf

it means-Highest point on a mountain..(so..it obviously differ from the meaning of Naufal-bijak)
ayah yg bagi nama ni dgn persetujuan mak..hehe..if not ,sure letak nama lain..so nama ni disepakati..

kenapa my parents bg nama ni??

• Ayah and mak pernah pesan supaya anak yg sorang ni menjadikan segala yg hasanah berada at the highest point..tak kira akhlaq,ibadah,urusan dunia,urusan akhirat,..kesimpulannya dlm hidup sbg examplar muslim..

jadinye,nama ni menjadi doa jg dari mak dan ayah..(always)

in arabic,the spelling supposed to be nun ,wau,fa,ta marbuthoh

but in rumi,ayah spell N.A.U.F.A(without H) but the meaning still remain..
if u all cari dlm kamus yg kita guna utk belajar bahsa arab(indonesian translation),maybe takkan jumpe..i found it in real arabic dictionary..(yg complete kata dasar etc etc etc...)

NEXT...
do i have short form for this short name??...logically... should be none rite...coz itself already short..just need five alphabets and people only have to pronounce it with 2 sounds...

only one person have accidentally shorten it..he called me Nouf..i dont like it but the meaning still not altered..

but most people accidentally add the spelling

for example:

1. naufara(called by kak seti previously..tp skrg dh tak dh..just accidentally..maybe she was confuse with the name because most people are unfamiliar with my name..)
2. naufal(mostly called by people who i newly introduce myself..also may due to confusion...moreover,Naufal is quiet familiar name..but it is a male name rite??)

Now come to the so called 'the-most-interesting-part'
my nickname..
actually,i hesitate to include this portion in this post coz it isn't informative as such to bring knowledge or maral value to the readers..but just for the sake of suka-suki and sharing..(someone told,sharing is caring)..i do include it..
soooo...lets begin!!

1. Pai-nama timangan kt rumah..panggilan oleh ayah,mak,kak long,kak cik,abg ngah,uncles and aunties..i dont know derive from where..maybe sbb mase kecik2 dulu tersgtla putih and mata sepet..so diorang nk bg nama cina,letak la 'Pai'..
   
2. kak teh-my younger siblings
3. kakak-called by adeq
4. spongy-kak shikin..sumenye sbb sekeping testi yg dihantar..fortunately dia tak panggil squidqward
5. petak-also by kak shikin(referring to spongy)

tp segala yg tertera kt atas tu hanya panggilan dr org lain..saya bahasakan diri dgn nama sendiri(naufa)..or kata ganti nama diri pertama(saya) or 'kite' or 'I'..never 'aku'..monolog ye kadang guna 'aku @ ku'

Something to ponder..

i'm glad to have such a short and precise name with a significant meaning...
furthermore,insan2 bernama naufa semakin hari semakin bertambah..
ustaz yazid kasi nama anak dia naufa,same goes to cikgu suriati(beloved mentor)
ustaz norzalan nk kasi nama naufa tp yg keluar anak lelaki..jd dia tambah 'L' jd naufal..ahmad faiz naufal...rindu nk jumpa ustaz sekeluarga..
oops..dh keluar tajuk..

dulu selalu jg confuse dgn nama sendiri..sbb sume org tanye ade makna ke?coz the name was unfamiliar to them..so..i asked my parents why there is no other people with my name?why is that it is unfamiliar to others?

ayah and mak give me a very precise answer that make me satisfied and hesitate no more after that..they said."Just be like ur name should be..if only you have that name in this world..be the one with this only name whom people acknowledge that the name is the best among the best name..so you have a responsibility to promote that name to make sure the name is well known, as it is belong to a person which is respected by others because of the attitude..and the person MUST BE YOU.."
lebih kurang la mesej yg mak and ayah nk sampaikan..
